How to Make Perfume?

The production of perfumes, which have a history of thousands of years, dates back to ancient times. The essence of perfumes, which are constantly changed during the production phase with the developing technology, comes from a single place. Various perfume scents are obtained with essences collected from plant, fruit, spice and flower extracts. Apart from these extracts, which we consider perfume fragrances, they are produced even from water, metal, soil and burnt rubber.

Thanks to the developing technology, personalized perfumes are produced to make the scents that people prefer themselves. Oils obtained from plants are obtained as a result of distillation or pressing. However, distillation process is mostly used in perfume production. As a result of this process, perfume scents that we enjoy in our daily lives emerge.

In the content of perfumes, layers of fragrance called notes are formed. The first smell you feel in the perfume you spray on you disappears instantly. This is the top note of the perfume. The smell in the middle note may be a little more permanent than the top note. The fragrance in the lower note is the main smell of the perfume. This smell will accompany you throughout the day.

Among the top notes of the perfume are fragrances such as grapefruit, lavender, lemon, lime, lime, orange blossom, rosemary and bergamot. Popular fragrances in the middle note of perfume, such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, fir tree, jasmine, orange blossom and rosewood, are popular fragrances in the middle note. Smells in the lower note; Scents such as sandalwood, vanilla, moth grass and ginger are popular fragrances found in the lower note.

In order to mix these notes during the perfume structure, 30% fragrance essences are taken from the top note, 50% from the middle note and 20% from the bottom note. In perfume making, only the fragrances contained in these notes do not enter the mixture. In addition to these fragrances, special oils are also present. For example, oils such as jojoba oil, sweet almond oil and grape seed oil should be present in perfume. This is due to increase the permanence of perfume.

You need to add the so-called carrier oils to the top, middle and bottom notes gradually. Then you should add the alcohol, which will help you mix all these fragrances and components. Alcohol helps to mix and scatter the notes. In perfumes made at home, especially 80 or 100 degree quality vodkas are used. Melted wax is used in the stricter perfumes made.
